Youth-focused human rights organisations can apply for the AI for Human Rights (AI4HR) Peer-Learning Programme 2027. Five organisations will join a six-month programme to explore practical ways artificial intelligence could support their work with young people.
Application deadline: 4 November 2026. A closing time and time zone have not been specified.
Programme overview
- Duration: January to early July 2027.
- Format: Mainly online, with approximately monthly webinars and workshops, one visit from an AI expert NGO and an in-person workshop.
- Workshop: Venice, Italy, on 25–26 February 2027.
- Language: English.
- Places: Five youth-focused human rights organisations.
What participants will receive
Each selected organisation will be paired with an NGO already using AI in human rights work. Participants will receive practical guidance and explore approaches relevant to their own priorities, such as documenting violations, analysing information or strengthening advocacy.
An AI expert will visit each participating organisation once during spring 2027. The Venice workshop will bring participants together to exchange experiences and build networks. Funding covers expenses connected to flights and accommodation in Venice.
Who can apply?
- Youth-led human rights organisations, or organisations working mainly with and for young people aged 15 and above.
- Organisations with clear ideas about what they want to learn or test with AI.
- Applicants able to nominate one or two representatives and commit to the six-month programme in English.
- Organisations able to host an expert visit and send at least one representative to the Venice workshop.
Previous AI experience is not required. Applications from organisations in Global Majority countries are particularly welcome.
How to apply
Complete the online application form with your organisation’s details, its work with young people, website or social media links, AI learning goals and reasons for joining. Provide the names, roles, work email addresses and CVs of one or two proposed representatives. Follow the CV upload instructions in the form and return to confirm completion.
Describe your own goals clearly and personally. Language or structural support from AI is acceptable, but the organisers want to understand your organisation’s genuine ideas.
